Suggestion Box

Is there something you’d like me to write about? Perhaps you’ve had a dish somehwere and you want to learn how to make it. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to know how something is made, but never had the time or resources to figure it out. An ingredient intrigues you, but you don’t know how to use it.

Would you like me to blog your favorite recipe? Maybe you’d like to have some help coming up with a finished recipe because you have a great idea but no time.

Perhaps you’d just like to see what I could do with some strange ingredient or idea, like mushroom ice cream.

Here’s the place to ask. Just leave a comment with details or send an email to suggestions (at) Stumptown Savoury (dot) com.

I would love to make an intense, strawberry tasting smoothie that contained some type of protein powder or was somewhat “healthy” and make it in my own kitchen, instead of having to go out of my way to get one, and then spend $5.00…
Would love it to contain yogurt if possible…
Don’t have a recipe for this, and too lazy/busy to figure it out!

  2. It is really tough to find a good Meat Pie like we used to have in New Zealand. I would to see what you come up with!

The Zucchini plant in our garden is starting to do what they do best…over produce. I’d like to see some food that incorporates zucchini.

  4. no suggestions, just letting you know my twitter account was hacked…So that wasn’t me the other day. When I replied and said it was me I did not realize you had received any direct ‘tweets’ from me…but after several other friends emailing me…I found I had been hacked! So sorry about that and I deleted my twitter account because i mostly use facebook anyway.

i had a fantastic hot chocolate drink in madrid. can’t remember what it was called but it had the consistency of mud and wasn’t too sweet, and was a little spicy. the closest thing i’ve ever had outside of spain is actually trader joe’s sipping chocolate, with a little cayenne pepper mixed in, but they only make it at the holidays, and it’s not quite right anyway.

    any ideas?

Excellent idea. I’ll have to think about it a bit, but if you want intense strawberry, you should start with strawberry powder. Make it by grinding up freeze-dried strawberries in your blender or food processor.

How about a Strawberry Oat Basil Smoothie with Duo Foams from Five Star Foodie?
